The Phillie Phanatic is back to his old tricks

Published

It’s been a hard time for sports fans during the COVID era. People who love attending games are forced to cheer from home (besides select few arenas who have decided to allow fans) or apply to be a fan over a video call. Besides the fans, there is one other group that is missing live games. A group that is important to everyone in all stadiums…the mascots.

Yes, mascots have feelings too and they have really been missing out on interacting with fans but that hasn’t stopped the Phillie Phanatic from messing with away fans during a game against the Mets.

The Phillies twitter responded swiftly.

Fans are slowly being allowed back into games in the NFL but the MLB, NBA, and NHL seem to a ways away from thinking about that. Until then, mascots are going to have to make their own fun for the time being.
